Senior Care - Aging Issues/Independent/Assisted Living

The Senior Care Search Service and Discount Network provides access to a Care Advocate who will assist the member in determining the appropriate level of care needed and selecting an appropriate care provider, Including assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and home health care agencies. The quality of care, location and the member’s specific needs will be considered as the Care Advocate conducts a customized search for the member.

Nurse Helpline

The 24-Hour Nurse Helpline is designed to help members become more informed about their healthcare. The Nurse Helpline is a 24/7 confidential telephone service that allows members to ask questions and receive information about their health, illnesses and medications. There is no cost to use the Helpline. Members have unlimited access to registered nurses via a toll-free number 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. These nurses are specially trained to offer prompt, confidential medical counseling to help members make informed decisions about their health and the medical care they receive. Nurses do not diagnose or provide treatment. Plan includes:

  1. Toll-free, confidential availability to registered nurses 24 hours a day
  2. Guidance and information for dealing with common ailments
  3. Explanations on what to expect during medical tests.
  4. Help from a registered nurse who can answer questions regarding: diagnostic and surgical procedures, recently diagnosed medical conditions and prescription and over-the-counter medication information.

Chiropractic Care

The chiropractic care discounts and services emphasize regular preventive maintenance. Members can use their program membership cards to get special rates from a nationwide network of more than 9,000 participating Doctors of Chiropractic across the U.S.

Program discounts and services include:

  • 40% savings on all diagnostic services
  • 20% savings on all other services
  • Savings on X-rays (if necessary)
  • Unlimited access to care

Concierge Service

At the heart of this program is the personal consumer helper. Helpful and well Informed, the consumer helper is there to protect and assist members in getting the answers and services they need. Working with their best interests in mind, members’ consumer helpers will help them with several tools.

Dental Care

Members will save on almost all dental care expenses through one of the largest independent networks of dental providers nationwide. Members simply present their membership cards to any one of the more than 43,000 providers (including specialists, where available) to receive discounted rates on dental procedures. The discount program is designed to save members money not only on routine and preventive care, but also on more extensive treatments such as fillings, crowns, root canals, dentures, bridges, oral surgery and more! Even orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry services are discounted. Members save 10% to 50% on dental care expenses.

Diabetic Supplies

The Diabetes Care program offers home delivery of diabetes testing supplies with no charge for shipping, and customer service representatives who are both knowledgeable and courteous. With the Diabetes Care program, members can count on:

Hearing Care

Hearing care services are provided by a national network of approximately 2,000 audiologists, one of the largest networks of hearing care professionals in the U.S. When members show their membership cards, they are assured of receiving quality hearing care at affordable prices. For example, compared to retail prices, they can save 10% to 20% on hearing aids, hearing aid repairs, and related hearing products (excluding batteries). Members enjoy savings on other hearing products and services including comprehensive audiometric testing, hearing aid evaluations and hearing aid maintenance. There is an unconditional 45-day refund policy on hearing aids and a no charge replacement of any hearing aid if it has been repaired three times or more in the first year from the date of delivery. Note: The Hearing Care plan cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount plan or insurance.

Helicopter Rescue

In the event a member suffers from a certified injury that requires emergency medical transportation by helicopter in accordance with local EMS protocols, the plan will reimburse the member up to a maximum of $4,000 per occurrence. Reimbursement includes expenses incurred from the cost of helicopter transportation in case of medical necessity or threat to life from the scene of an accident to the nearest medical facility capable of treating the injuries or from one medical facility to another medical facility. Claims for medically necessary transports from one medical facility to another medical facility are subject to review.

Hospital Discounts

With the ease of one phone number, our members can receive assistance on locating participating health care providers and facilities in their area. Members also have access to a medical savings card. Representatives will coordinate hospital inpatient as well as outpatient needs.

Lab Work

We offer significant discounts to members for all types of laboratory tests for multiple conditions and diseases WITHOUT a physicians referral, and at nearly half the cost. Quality and confidentiality are guaranteed. We combine the expertise of qualified healthcare professionals with friendly service and quality testing at significantly reduced costs.


Plan offers significant discounts to members for advanced diagnostic imaging procedures such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) scans and is the preferred solution for ensuring access to high-quality radiology testing at lower costs.

Patient Advocacy Service

Patient Advocacy is a highly personalized service in which a professional Advocate is assigned to the plan member to represent his or her interests with their healthcare. The Advocate will work closely with the member and their medical providers to find reasonable solutions and fair pricing. They will negotiate with the providers on the out-of-pocket expenses owed by the plan member, usually obtaining very positive results. This is a best efforts service with no guarantee, but significant reductions are typically seen.

Medical/Physician Discount

With access to a network of thousands of medical facilities and physicians nationwide, members can save on medical services. Members who have no health coverage can save money on all visits to a participating provider. Members who do have health coverage can save on services not covered, such as routine office visits and cosmetic surgery. At discounts of 5% to 40%, members can save hundreds — or even thousands — of dollars a year. Participating providers are screened by a team of professionals prior to joining the network. All providers are licensed and credentialed. There is no paperwork to complete and there is no limit to the number of visits members may make to their providers.

Medical Supplies and Equipment

The medical supplies and equipment program offers a broad selection of products and has extremely responsive customer service. This ensures that members will receive the product that best meets their needs at a discount of 10%. To place an order, members can call the customer service number listed on their membership card. Some of the products that are available include incontinence supplies (adult & youth), walking aids (canes, walkers, etc.), bathroom safety supplies, exam gloves, scales (kitchen & bath), hot & cold therapy products and bed bug protection products. Medical Records

Members have fast, secure telephone access to their complete medical records whenever they are needed. When they carry their card, their complete medical history is a quick, confidential phone call away! No one really likes letting an unfamiliar doctor take control of his or her health care in an emergency–but it happens all the time. We become ill while traveling, an injury leaves us unable to speak for ourselves, or our own doctor just isn’t available. There’s no need to worry! Just a quick telephone call is all it takes for members to access their complete medical history, including emergency contact information–any time, day or night.

Mail Order Drugs

An important part of the Prescription Drug program is the mail order service option. Members can use the mail order service any time, but it is most convenient when ordering medications they take on a regular basis. The mail order service can save members even more money than the retail pharmacy program.

Prescription Drugs (Walk in)

The Prescription Drug program links most of the largest pharmacy chains into a common and consistent discount program. Through an exclusive agreement with one of the nation’s premier drug management organizations, members can obtain discounts of 5% to 30% on drug prices through a national network of more than 40,000 pharmacies.

Prescription Drugs 4-Tier

This plan is designed to save members money on their prescription drug costs! This 4-Tier Pharmacy plan is recognized at most pharmacies in the U.S. This formulary has four tiers: Preferred brand and generic drugs will be offered at $10/$20/$40 tiers. Non-preferred medications will be discounted at a negotiated price that has been contracted for members.

Prescription Drugs-Free

One of the largest problems in America’s health care system today is the rising cost of prescription medication. Without prescription plans, people are being forced to choose between life-saving medications and basic everyday needs. Help is available with Rx Assistance and more than 150 reputable pharmaceutical manufacturers who participate in a Patient Assistance Program. Worrying about the cost of medications could be a thing of the past. Patient Assistance Programs are available nationwide to people of all ages. The problem is that the process of getting enrolled can be so overwhelming that many give up before completing the process. In addition, the maintenance aspect of continued qualification and receipt of free medications is also burdensome. That’s where we come in. Each pharmaceutical company has its own criteria for qualifications to receive assistance. In general, the patient must:

  • Be a U.S. resident.
  • Not be covered by insurance for outpatient prescription drugs.
  • Not qualify for a government program (such as Medicaid) or a third-party program that provides for prescription medications (discount programs do not disqualify an applicant).
  • Have an income level that would result in hardship if required to purchase medications at retail prices.


Vantage is pleased to provide members with access to Telemedicine, a national network of board certified physicians providing consultations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Telemedicine physicians use electronic health records and telephone consultations to diagnose, recommend treatment and write short-term non DEA controlled prescriptions, when appropriate. Telemedicine does not replace the existing primary care physician relationship but instead enhances it with an efficient, cost- effective alternative for minor medical problems.

Telephone Counseling

The implied objective of phone counseling is the resolution of a problem within a brief period of time. As a result, phone counseling is not appropriate for each client referred to the Counseling Service. The phone counselor will weigh the nature of the problem, as well as the client’s desire and ability to work on resolving the problem, and determine whether referral to a face-to-face counselor is needed. This referral might be paid through the client’s insurance.

Vision Care

Members save 20% to 60% on eyeglasses, contact lenses and other retail eyewear items. They can use their membership cards at any local participating optical service provider from our nationwide network of more than 12,000 eye care professionals.

Vitamin Service

There are many health advantages that can result from a regimen of vitamin supplements. Many people consider a vitamin and mineral supplement program to be an important part of their overall health strategy. Members can obtain a wide range of vitamin and mineral supplements through our mail order program at savings of 25% to 50% below suggested catalog prices. Vitamins are provided by a nationally recognized manufacturer which sells only through health food stores.
